Susan's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup crisco
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbs vanilla
- 2 tbs milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Heat oven to 375º
- Beat shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Beat in egg.
- Stir flour, salt and baking soda in medium bowl.
- Gradually beat into creamed mixture until just blended.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts
- Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto baking sheet.
- 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
- Cool 2 minutes.
- Remove wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 3 dozen
